SALESMAN FAILS
BANKRUPTCY MEETING ONE CREDITOR REPRESENTED Only one creditor was represented at the bankruptcy meeting of George Lionel Miller salesman, of Wynyard Street, this morning. The Official Assigne, Air. G. N. AJ.crris, presided. The bankrupt, in his statement, said he had begun busines sin Nelson on £2OO borrowed from a friend in January, 1926, later selling out for £285 cash. He came to Auckland with £264 2s 4d, but had not made any profit out of commission business. He had had an accident to his car, and bad health, and had been defrauded by a man who sold him an agency. But he had paid £57 off debts incurred in Nelson. He had been unemployed for some time, and had been temporarily engaged as a salesman at £4 a week. Assets of the bankrupt amounted to £ 145, and unsecured, creditors were owed £ 352 4s. The deficiency was £207 4s. that he was insolvent when he left Nelson, but had never taken legal advice.
