Ward, who visited Auckland for the idles’ golf championship, and were •Jie guests of Mrs. Upton, went South by the Limited last evening. Mr. M. C. Astley, *on the motion of Hr. G. P. Finlay, was admitted by Mr. justice Herdman as a barrister to the Supreme Court. His Honour also admitted Mr. S. S. Preston, of Te Awamutu, as a barrister.
