NOTES The Broadcasting Company announces that it has engaged a Superintendant of Stations, whose duty it will be to bring the transmissions of the four stations up to their maximum efficiency. He will also represent' the company at meetings of Listeners’ Leagues and Radio Societies. Mr. L. Slade, of Christchurch, has been appointed as first superintendant. To-day and on Wednesday next, the Auckland Trottng Club’s Winter Meeting at Alexandra Park will be broadcast from IYA. The transmission is from noon to the last race. The announcer will be Mr. Geo. Campbell. * * m Mr. A. Collins, of Takapuna, was successtul in receiving the New York station 2XAD last Sunday. There were vocal and instrumental items. The transmission was heard from 1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. with good volume and remarkable clarity.
