“A KISS IN A TAXI” Few comedies have come to the screen during the past twelve months that can compare in plot interest or swiftness with “A Kiss in a Taxi,” Bebe Daniels’ new Paramount starring picture. In it, the vivacious comedienne plays Ginette. bewitching waitress of the Parisian Montmarte. All patrons seek to kiss her, but she is untouchable, answering each advance with a fresh shower of glassware. Chester Conklin, Maraval, treasurer of the Artists' Society, has one of the best opportunities of his long-moustached career. Douglas Gilmore, Paramount’s latest leading man. gives a splendid performance as Lucien. Bebe’s sweetheart. “A Kiss in a Taxi” bears the stamp of sterling comedy not only because of its cast but also due to the capable direction it received from Director Clarence Badger, who seems quite satisfied to create one continual line of successful farces for Paramount. Jocelyn Lee gives added zest to the picture as Conklin’s attractive secretary. Others excellent in their roles are Henry Kolker. Richard Tucker Agostino Borgato; Eulalie Jensen and Rose Burdick. By all means see “A Kiss in a Taxi.”
