Rough Rugby.—-In a Rugby match at Biarritz, on the Continent recently two doctors parked themselves on’the side-line before she match, armed with first-aid outfits. It was not i( ns l<e . fore they were wanted, either The players tore into the game in a sort of ferocious fury, and bt-fore long several of them were completely out of action. An Englishman who witnessed the game says he now understands why people on the Continent find bullfighting tame!
A Football Family.— It is worthy of note how prominently the Clan McKenzie figured in the Ran furl y Shield match. Mr. E McKenzie was sole seiector for the Wairarapa, Mr. N. McKenzie, sole selector to Hawke’s Bay; Mr. H. J. McKenzie wsu* referee; while Mr. J_ M cKenzif' stood on the line and barracked.
