GISBORNE’S HARBOUR TROUBLE “TOO MANY OPINIONS” Press Association. GISBORNE. Thursday. Following the adoption of the refort of Mr. F. W. Furkert, engineer-in-chief of the Marine Department, by the Gisborne Harbour Board, the engineer, Mr. R. Campbell, announced his intention to resign. Mr. Campbell said that the board suffering from an old complaint •f two many opinions, and that his Position with the board had reached a stage where no course was left him hut to resign. This step he was asked to reconsider by a majority of the board, five members only giving their support to a suggestion that as Mr. Campbell had ta “ en his decision the board should not endeavour to persuade him to take another course.
