GOOD SWIMMERS BEING DROWNED
TABLE TO BE COMPILED Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At a meeting of the New Zealand Swimming Council Mr. A. Macdonald said he would like to see a table compiled which showed the number of drowning accidents in New Zealand each year. He was of the opinion that quite a number of good swimmers were being drowned. It would be interesting if they could find out what proportion of those drowned could swim, and what proportion could not. An effort should be made to teach swimmers how to avoid such occasions as would lead to trouble. It was decided that an effort be made to compile such a table.
