A FATHER’S TRIBUTE

Mr. Clutha Mackenzie, the blind son of Sir Thomas Mackenzie, former New Zealand Prime Minister, proffered an unsolicited testimony yesterday to the work of the Plunket Society. “As the father of four healthy babies I wish to say how very grateful both my wife and myself have been for assistance and gitid* a nee from the sogbety,” said Mr. Mackenzie. ” An opponent of the Plunket way told Mr. Mackenzie the other day that “she never had had any trouble with her babies when they were young.” Therefore, she did not hold with these new-fangled ideas. When asked for the secret of her success, Mr. Mackenzie said he was told it was a teaspoonful of brandy!
