League Transfers to Wigan Club
PASSAGES NOW BOOKED CHRISTCHURCH PLAYER APPROACHED The two well-known Auckland League players, Lou Brown and Ben Davidson, have received instructions to proceed to England to fulfil the terms of tlieir contract with the IV igan Club. The cablegram received by Brown read ns follow: "Have booked passages Davidson and self by Corinthic, leaving Wellington June 29inform Mason.—Taylor, Wigan.’’
Mason is the Christchurch player, who was a member of the New Zealand team which toured England last year. He is a fine stamp of player, weighing about 15st, and it was well lftnown that Wigan was very keen on him when he was in
M ason. England. Brown has forwarded the cablegram to Mason.
