MARGARET W TO SAlL.— Messrs. Watkin and Wallace advise that the auxiliary four-masted senooner Margaret W is to sail this afternoon for Whangape, to load a cargo of timber for Newcastle.

ANTONIO AT WELLINGTON.— Due at Wellington to-day from Napier, the steamer Antonio leaves on Saturday for New Plymouth and Australia to complete her discharge of Texas cargo. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. — News has been received by the Canadian Government Agency that the Canadian Challenger arrived at Boston last Wednesday morning from Auckland, via New York, en route to Montreal.

TEKOA SAILS TUESDAY.— In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, the New Zealand Shipping Co. are endeavouring to dispatch the steamer Tekoa from Auckland next Tuesday for "Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. ROTORUA FOR HOME. —The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Rotorua leaves Lyttelton to-morrow for Wellington, where she is due on Saturday to fill up for Home. She is timed to sail from Wellington at 3 p.m. next Tuesday for Southampton and London, via Panama. SYDNEY PASSENGER STEAMERS.—(The Union Company advise that tile Marama leaves Sydney tomorrow afternoon for Auckland, and the Maheno leaves to-morrow morning for Wellington. Both vessels are due at their respective ports next Tuesday morning.

AORANGI AT SUVA. —Cable advice received states that the R.M.S. Aorangi arrived at Suva this morning from Vancouver via ports and sails this afternoon for Auckland. She is due here on Sunday afternoon, and is announced by the Union Company, to leave Auckland at 8 p.m. on Monday for Sydney. LAUNCHING BROADCAST.-Lis-teners-in at Home enjoyed all the excitement of a launch recently when the "shipyard sounds” which accompanied the floating by Messrs. Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson at Wallsend-on-Tyne of the new C. and D. liner Port Gisborne were broadcast. Seven microphones were used and the experiment was a great success.

TRANSPACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS.—The Union Company advises the following movements of their vessels engaged in the trans-Pacific cargo services:—

The Hauraki left San Francisco on May 27 for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on Saturday evening.

The Waitemata was due at San Francisco yesterday from Ocean Falls She is expected to clear San Francisco about June 19 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney.

The Waihemo left San Francisco on June 4 for Apia, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. She is due at Apia on June 21, and at Wellington on June 30. The Wairuna will leave Sydney today for Vancouver and San Francisco, via Fiji. The Waiotapu arrived at Melbourne on June 12 from Wellington, and is expected to sail on Friday next for Sydney.

WEST CALERA ARRIVES.— The American steamer West Calera arrived at Auckland last evening, and berthed at Central Wharf at 10 o’clock this morning to commence the discharge of a. cargo consisting chiefly oi lumber and case oil from West American ports. The vessel loaded at Portland. Vancouver, Bellingham River, San Francisco, and sailed finally from San Pedro on May 21. Fine weather was experienced until the day before yesterday, when the vessel encount-

ered strong south-westerly winds and high seas.

Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlarvg, the local agents, expect £0 dispatch the steamer to-night in continuation of her voyage to Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and the Far East. Captain J. H. Hansen is in command of the West Calera and has associated with him the following officers: Chief, Mr. C. S. Robins; second. Mr. N. K. Jacobs; third, Mr. A. Carlson; wireless operator, Mr. M. A. Hange; chief engineer, Mr. H. T. Berger; second, Mr. T. H. McGuire; third, Mr. C. Burney; fourth. Mr. M. C. Gildersleeve; chief steward, Mr. J. Cleveland.

The West Calera also brought 141 bags of English and American parcel mail for Auckland.

PACIFIC COAST LOADINGS.— Henderson and Macfarlane advise the following movements of the A. and O. line’s steamers engaged in the transpacific cargo services:

The West Calera arrived at Auckland last night, and sails to-day for Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and the Hast.

The West Henshaw sailed from Los Angeles on June 14 for Auckland. Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here on July 9.

The Bearport is scheduled to leave Los Angeles on July 9 for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Brisbane. She is due here on August 3.

The West Islip sails from San Francisco on July 27 and Los Angeles on July 30 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and probably New Plymouth.

The West Nivaria, now at Napier, loads again at Pacific Coast ports early in August, sailing finally from Los Angeles on August 27 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Tiraaru, Dunedin and Bluff.

PHOSPHATE LOADINGS— The following movements have been advised by Henderson and Macfarlane of steamers engaged in -the phosphate trade.

The Ilaggersgate from Nauru Island is expected at Auckland on Monday and later proceeds to New Plymouth to complete discharge.

The Persian Prince sailed from Westport yesterday for Nauru Island, where she will load for Auckland.

The Maryland leaves Westport today for Nauru to load for Australia

The Pacific Transport sailed from Bluff yesterday for Westport, where she will bunker before proceeding to Makatea to load for a port not yet fixed.
