SUN’S FOOTBALL COMPETITION

Last week's winner of THE SUN’S £2O football prize. Mr. W. B. Tindall, of Mt. Roskill, has been a keen follower of the competition since it started and on a previous occasion was only one result out in his coupon. Mr. Tindall says that his greatest difficulty was with the Soccer match, Tramways v. Onehunga. He reckoned the match was a “toss up,” and on his fifth and last coupon, he decided to leave both teams in to represent a draw, which was exactly how the game “panned out.” This week marks a return to the usual £lO prize. Added interest is given to the competition by reason of the fact that both Soccer and Union Rugby club games are suspended this week to make way for representatives and trial matches, etc., while a new feature will be the inclusion of the hockey senior A grade fixtures.
