EDUCATION BOARD The Auckland Education Board met yesterday, Mr. A. Burns presiding. The Department advised that the suggestion that schools should be graded at the end of September had been placed on the agenda of the Council of Education. Practical science classes for teachers’ certificates would be held in January, but the Department was unable to modify the fees at present. A deputation from the Riverhead School Committee asked for the remodelling of the school building. The roll number, it was stated, was now 55. The chairman advised the deputation to confer with the architect about the extensions which were being considered by the board. The hall for the school W'ould be provided.
