PETITION FOR DIVORCE GROUNDS OF DESERTION Her husband had deserted her and was now serving a sentence of two years in gaol. Avis Beatrice Olds applied for a dissolution of her marriage with Johp Mortimer Olds, before his Honour Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court yesterday. The parties had been married at Waitanguru, near Te Kuiti, in 1921. They had lived in Te Kuiti and later in Auckland. In April, 1923, he had deserted her and was now serving a sentence in gaol. There were to children of the marriage. The mother of petitioner gave evidence that since her desertion petitioner had lived with her. His Honour granted a decree nisi to be made absolute at the expiration of three months.
