N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM

SELECTORS APPOINTED CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. The New Zealand Hockey Association to-night appointed the following selectors to choose the team for the Australian tour: Messrs. S. G. Holland (Canterbury), convener, R. Thompson (Wanganui), L. C. Kent (Auckland). To assist the selectors Mr. Thompson is to be requested to select a team from the Wanganui, Feilding, Taranaki, Dannevirke, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay districts to play Manawatu at Palmerston North on a date to be arranged. The Wellington Association’s request for a match with the New Zealand team was agreed to, providing suitable financial arrangements can be made.
