One relates to the compulsory sickness insurance of workers in industry and commerce, and outworkers and domestic servants. The other relates to agricultural workers. The employers’ delegation have notified that they will abstain from voting on the draft conventions, while the workers’ group, although they consider the schemes far from satisfactory, will vote in their favour. The discussion at the plenary sessions indicates that there is a general desire for some universal scheme ol sickness insurance.—A. and N.Z.
