A FROSTY NIGHT

COLD SHOWERS NEGLECTED REAL WINTER WEATHER gurgled and shuddered as he staggered from under the cold shower this morning. In many instances he just gurgled and turned on the hot water tap instead. When two degrees of frost are registered in Albert Park it means that a heavy frost has been experienced in some of the suburbs of Auckland. A resident of Edendale said that when he left home at 8 o’clock this morning the ground was still white with frost. Other suburbs of the city were white as snow before the sun rose, and even along Symonds Street there were signs of real winter on the grass. It was a night for blazing fires and water bottles, but like, all frosty nights it heralded a day of glorious sunshine.
