MOTOR CYCLING CLUB

The monthly meeting of the North Shore Motor-cycle Club was held at Devonport last evening, Mr. T. Walsh presiding. Mr. E., Chivers was elected secretary, vice Mr. A. J. Foster, resigned. The action of the Devonport Borough Council in deciding to enforce the by-law banning pillionriding in the borough, after agreeing with the club in March that the restriction was not warranted, has come as a complete surprise to the club, and the issue is to be further pressed. An arrangement is being made to secure the use of a piece of ground near Albany for practising motor-football. Club runs were fixed for AlbanyDairy Flat on June 25, and to Thames on July 2. The ordering of a club badge was left in the hands of a subcommittee.
