MT. ROSKILL ROAD BOARD
-There was a very heavy agendapaper at the meeting of the Mount -Uoskjil Road Board last evening- Mr. J. K. Jones presided. Having given consideration to the proposed loan of £Bo,oou for concreting Three Kings Road and Mount Albert Road the board decided to issue advertisements upon the proposal., and invite possible objections by ratepayers. The board refused an application from the contractor for the removal of household refuse asking for an increase upon his present pavment for the work. Once again Mr. J. Robertson tackled the question of immediately taking steps to remedy the intolerable stoiinwater flooding in Mount Albert Read, which lie described as an “absolute disgrace.” The members agreed that remedial measures must be adopted forthwith. -V dangerous corner at Buckland and Selwyn Roads is to be given early attention. The board decided to consider the drainage proposals fully -it a special meeting. as to eventually provide for age of the whole area by gravitation.
