“DREAMS OF DELIGHT”

REGENT’S FASHION WEEK

Next Friday’s fashion display, arranged by Messrs. Milne and Choyce and the Regent Theatre, in conjunction with the screening of Paramount’s sumptuous show picture, “Fashion’s For Women.” is well advertised as an exhibition that wili dazzle the eye and thrill the heart. The Regent claims that never before in Auckland’s history has such a dazzling pageant been planned, and judging by the elaborate preparations that are being made, the claim will be more than justified. Chosen mannequins from the firm of Milne and Choyce will display the latest in wonderful creations, in a brilliant stage setting that is now being built. The Regent’s fine stage is undergoing complete transformation and when the set is finally revealed to the public throughout the week commencing on Friday next it will stagger them with its sheer magnificence. The Regent Theatre prides itself on the magnificence of its lighting system, its music and the possibilities of its stage. It was only because Messrs. Milne and Choyce realised that the Regent could provide a worthy setting to its beautiful parade that the firm agreed softer many years to participate with a house of entertainment in such a glorious exhibition as will glitter from the Regent’s stage. The Regent will keep faith with Messrs. Milne Efnd Choyce and the public, and will present the parade in a sparkling setting of which only the Regent is capable. The Paramount film, “Fashions For Women,” with its gowns, girls, and sophisticated humour, is declared to be a perfect “dream of delight.” Esther Ralston has her first starring role and is supported by that prince of comedians, Raymond Hatton. The box plan for the season is available at the theatre, phone 46-888.
