THE ARBITRATION ACT
PROPOSALS FOR REPEAL (From Our Own Correspondent.') TAURANGA, Tuesday. At a largely-attended meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last evening Mr. Christian proposed: “That the Government be requested to consider seriously the question of the repeal of the Arbitration Act, a minimum wage to be adjusted according to the average price realised for primary products.” After a keen debate the resolution was lost.
