AUSTRALIAN VETERAN WINS WORLD’S CHAMPION SECOND By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed S a.m. LOS ANGELES, Monday. Frank Hagney, the veteran oarsman from Australia and now of Hollywood, crossed the 20-mile Catalina Channel in an open skiff in 5 hours 41 seconds, and won the rowing Derby with a £2OO prize. He rowed'26 strokes to the minute and beat 67 competitors. Major Goodsell, the world’s champion sculler, was second. His time was 5 hours 53 minutes. —A. and N.Z.
