Community singing practice was ably led by Mr. A. B. Thompson. To-night’s programme is a varied one. Community singing is to begin at 7.45 p.m., and will be led by the Rev. Jasper Calder. “Hymn” sheets are being provided containing parodies on popular airs, which threaten to become better known than the origirul words. This will be followed by a ; congratulatory ceremony in which Mr. D. Steen, president of the Students’ Association, will congratulate graduates pei'sonally. A model capping ceremony, in which prominent men are to take part, and a consolation Birthday Honours presentation, will follow. “Miss A.U.C will, as the winner of THE SUN beauty competition he required to undergo a screen test to determine her suitability for such work. The Professors’ Sextet will sing popular numbers at intervals. All who enjoyed “Size Three,” “Crooks, Ltd.”, and other University extravaganzas, will be sure to enyoy this latest innovation of the students.
