TOM MIX RECOVERS

The cinema has its casualties as well as war. Tom Mix making “Outlaws of Red River” for Fox. was injured while filming a scene recently when a blank cartridge, fired by Francis McDonald. accidentally burned the star's left eye. Physicians state there will be no permanent injury.

Tom's desire to make his screen combats realistic is said to be responsible, in great part, for the accident. He will soon start in a new production. “The Circus Ace,” to be directed by Ben Stoloff.
