Y.M.C.A. ACTIVITIES

DECREASE IN REVENUE A sharp decrease in the receipts for this year is disclosed in the financial statement presented to the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Young Men’s Christian Association, held last evening. The president, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, occupied the chair. The treasurer. Mr. B. 11. Horsley, explained that the decrease was accountable to the present state of trade in the city. Expenditure was being kept correspondingly low so that no increase of the bank overdraft was Indicated. Reports on the activities of the various departments were brought down for consideration. The membership of the three divisions is as follows: Senior, 775; Young Men’s division. 289: Boy’s division, 503; making a total of 1,567.

Mr. F. Rogers, physical director, reported the roll number in his department to be 236 and 51 classes were held during the month. The general secretary, Mr. V. T. Drev/, stated that four Sunday afterpo °" men ’« meetings were hold, the weekly attendance being over 80.
