A De Luxe Theatre
DUNEDIN ENTERPRISE £40,000 TO BE SPENT Press Association. DUNEDIN, Monday. Within a few weeks construction will commence of a theatre for pictures and vaudeville, in a site at the Octagon, purchased for £ 35,000. The theatre will accommodate about 1,700. The company, which includes the J. C. Williamson subscription of £22,000, and a syndicate representing £20,000, will spend between £ 40,000 and £ 50,000 on the theatre, which will be on the lines of the De Luxe Theatre at Wellington.
