BROSNAHAN SPOONS PUKEKOHE CLUB TROPHY The qualifying round for the Brosnahan spoons was played at the Pukekohe golf links on Saturday, the following qualifying: Dr. McWhirter, BS-10—78; Brosnahan, 89-10—79; Johnson, 100-14—86; Maddison, 110-24—86; Anderson, 107-20—87; Sellar, 114-27—87; Stuart, 116-28—88; Rawson, 109-20—89. The draw for play is:— McWhirter plays Rawson, Sellar plays Johnson, Anderson plays Maddison, Stuart plays Brosnahan. In the semi-final for the president’s trophy Brosnahan defeated Coyle, 5 up and 4. Brosnahan will meet the winner of the Rally-McWhirter bracket in the final. The first round for the vice-president’s trophy resulted; Rally beat Stuart, 1 up at the 19th hole; Rawson beat O. Short, 3 up and 2; Duncan beat Maddison, 6 up and 5. <
