HEAVY RAIN ON SATURDAY BOISTEROUS SUNDAY The weather at Auckland was very wet and boisterous during the weekend. Heavy rain commenced to fall at noon on Saturday and did not abate till about 2 o’clock. In spite of wet conditions most sports fixtures *vere carried out. however. Yesterday conditions continued to be showery. Heavy rain fell at intervals, accompanied by squalls from the north-west. An especially heavy squall commenced at about 1.30 p.m. yesterday and lasted for an hour. Conditions last evening continued to be very wintry. To-day, however, conditions improved with general indications of better weather to follow. The barometer, which stood at 29.55 in. last night had risen to 29.822 in. at 9 a.m. this morning.
