STEAMER REMUERA

PASSENGER ACCOMMODATION The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner, Remuera, which arrived at Auckland on Saturday evening last from London, is undergoing extensive alterations. When the vessel was in England another deck was added on top, and the boats were transferred to it. What previously was the boat dack is being fitted up to accommodate passengers. When the work is complete, twenty saloon cabins will have been added. The old second-class smoking room is being renovated also and converted into a saioon lounge. When the work is finished the new boat deck will provide an extensive promenade for saloon passengers. Second-class passengers are to have the use of the new portion of the saloon deck and a new smoking room is being fitted up for them also.
