“HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER”
COMING TO PRINCESS AND TIVOLI “Hands Across the Border,” one of the most spectacular of all Fred Thomson's western romances, released by Master Pictures, comes to the Princess and Tivoli Theatres on Thursday. Frank M. Clifton wrote the story, a rattling tale of smuggling along the Mexican line, and the amusing difficulties into which a young American can become immersed when he starts promiscuously to rescue young Spanish ladies from girls’ boarding schools. Along with the chuckles that sprinkle the picture with the usual Thomson prodigality there ts an unexampled number of thrills, |n most of which Silver King plays a big part. That horse takes the palm ns the best actor in Hollywood! Anil Mr. Thomson himself would be the last to deny such an assertion. Bess Flowers has the leading lady’s part, and she proves a devastating damsel, both in distress and otherwise. Others who stand out in the strong supporting cast are Tyrone Power, William Courtwright, Clarence Geldert, and Thomas Santschi. David Kirkland directed the Production.
