THANKS FOR N.Z.
HELPING RUGBY GAME AUSTRALIAN TRIBUTE By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. Speaking to a toast at the golfers’ dinner, Sir Henry Braddon, who is a former New Zealand representative footballer, said: “We must not forget the debt we owe to New Zealand in the field of sport. If we have helped them in cricket and tennis, we must remember that they rendered us a service in the Rugby Union game, for which we can never sufficiently thank them.
“It is largely because of their assistance that the game has been reestablished soundly and satisfactorily.” A. and N.Z.
