LADIES’ GOLF

PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP SOME GOOD VISITORS A very large entry has been received for the Auckland Ladies’ Provincial Golf Championship, which will be played at Middlemore next week, commencing on Tuesday. In allthere are 112 entries. Among the are Miss D. Chrystall, of Christchurch, on the one mark, Mrs. Russell Grace, of Wanganui, Miss M. Ward, captain at Wellington, and Mrs Shailer Weston and Mrs. Foreman, of Wellington. Mis.* Payton will not be ft competitor, and the leading Aucklanders competing will be Miss E. Culling, holder of the championship, and Mrs. Dufaur, of Titirangi. Ml<te Culling has frequently been at the head 6f the scores at Middlemore, and was defeated by Mrs. Dufaur at Titirangi two weeks ago. The two .qualifying rounds for the championship will ba played on Tuesday, the draw being as follows:
