RAILWAYS BOOST SNOW

(From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday. No wonder Wellington people have been feeling the southerly of the past few days exceptionally keenly! Word is received by the Railway Department that snow is three feet thick at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, and the conditions for skiing are of the best. The department welcomes the winter falls of snow as a business getter for the excursion trips to the mountain, and is already advising the people to “go for the skiing while the skiing’s good.”
