WHAT HE SAID
A nice old gentleman saw a little boy trying to ring a bell, so he very kindly pulled it for him. “Now what do you say, my boy?” he asked, as the bell rang loudly. “Say? Why, ‘run as hard as you can.’ ” said the little boy. —Sent in by Muriel Arthur. Schoolmaster Wackum was taking the class in grammar. At the end of the lesson he put this question to his inattentive pupils:—“l milked the cow! What mood?” There was a scuffle at the back of the class as Tommy Jones sprang smartly to his feet. “Please, sir, the cow!” he piped excitedly.
