JASPER’S CONCERT

A.NOTHER PERFORMANCE In response to numerous requests the Kev. Jasper Calder’s concert as given on Tuesday evening will be repeated at the Town Hall this* evening:. Produced by Mr. Calder it is altogether unnecessary to state that the entertainment will be of the bright and original order. In a programme of pleasing variety topical hits abound, Mr. Calder s young sons. Bud and Denver, being largely responsible for this department of the show. Very appropriate to the object of the. entertainment, “Scrooge’s Christmas Day” (Dickens), will be given by a strong cast, Mr. Calder himself playing the title role. Concerted numbers by the company will include “Wanganui Ripples,” "The Company Are We,” and a number of popular Hawaiian songs. In the latter numbers the company will have the assistance of Mr. Walter Smith’s Hawaiian Band and Miss Florence Sutherland and Miss Peggy Cutting. Other members of the company to again appear in selected numbers are Miss Nellie Lingard, Madame Anita Hardwick and Messrs. S. Hardwick, Ophir Rees, Charles Massee and Charles Madden. Sketches, concerted numbers, solos and variety turns should result in another very enjoyable variety show.
