EX-SERVICE LEAGUE REFUSAL TO BE LINKED UP NEXT MEETING IN AUSTRALIA By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Friday. AT the conference of the British Empire Service League the delegates discussed an invitation to send representatives to the conference of the International Federation of ex-Service-men to be held at Luxembourgh. The chairman, Captain Dyett, said he did not object to representatives going as observers. Constituent members of the league might join the federation if thye desired to do so, but Australia would not entertain the idea of the league itself being linked up with any international organisation. Mr. Stewart concurred. The meeting decided to accept the invitation, but that its representatives should attend in the capacity of observers.—A and N.Z. A resolution was carried recommending the Empire headquarters to send a questionnaire to branches all over the Empire inviting suggestions for using the organisation to further inter-Imperia ltrade. Supporters emphasised the fact that the proposal was in no way political.
Australia was selected as the venue for the next biennial conference. —A. and N.Z.
