CARD EVENING

The wives of members of the Te Awamutu Bowling Club were entertained to an enjoyable card party on Wednesday evening, as a mark of appreciation of their valued help when visiting bowlers are playing in tournaments and inter-club matches. There was a large attendance. The early part of the evening was devoted to progressive euchre, and afterwards a delightful supper was partaken of. There were also a number of interesting competitions for "ladies only. The winners of the euchre contest were Mrs. F. Bowden and Mr. A. Christie The other competitions were won by Mrs. R. Henderson and Miss Johnson.
