TWO MEN IN COURT

REMANDED TO JUNE 21 “Are there no other charges,” asked Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, when John Wallace Thurlow and Lewis Robert William Knight, both aged 35, were charged with stealing 40 yards of silk worth £5 6s 8d belonging to the Union Steam Ship Company. “Not at present,” replied Chief-De-tective Cummings, and asked for a remand to June 21. At the request of Mr. J. J. Sullivan the two men were allowed bail—£so each.
