WAIKATO HOCKEY

The Empson Cup competition was advanced a further stage on Wednesday, when Patera ngi and United hockey teams met. The former team had little difficulty in winning, scoring eight goals to two. For the winners, B. Spiers registered five goals, G. Finch two, and Jackson one. For United, L. Shepherd was responsible for both goals. In the Waratah v. Ramblers game the former won by two goals to nil. H. Andrew and Bowler scored.
