HIS MAJESTY’S
* “PEG 0’ MY HEART” The revival of “Peg-o-My Heart” at His Majesty’s last night by the Nellie Bramley Company met with such a cordial reception that the popularity of J. Hartley Manner’s fine play was shown to be enduring beyond the ordinary. And the performance was all that could be wished, Miss Bramley, especially, as Peg, appealing in all the varied humours of the role and winning the unstinted laughter and applause of the audience. Others who did full justice to their parts were Miss Marie Dalton, as the head of the snobbish English household in which the ingenuous Irish girl from New York is landed, Miss Mabel Gower, as the daughter, Mr. Brett Randall, as the ultra-foppish son, Mr. George Hewlett, as the guardianlover, and Mr. Robert Purdie, as an elderly solicitor. “Peg-o-My Heart” will be presented again this evening, and to-morrow evening the season will close with that strong and popular drama, “Camille.”
