JASPER’S FAIR
A GREAT SUCCESS The Rev. Jasper Calder’s “All Auck- , land” Winter Fair is now in progress ] in the Town Hall. The attendants are i having a busy time supplying the needs of those who are desirous of easing the unemployment situation in Auckland. From the time the doors open at 2 p.m. right up to the closing time there are crowds of people around each of the nineteen stalls. The model exhibition, too, is receiving its share of the patronage. Another attraction which should appeal to many is the opportunity for dancing provided. Last night Jack Rowe’s Musical Box Orchestra was in attendance. The music was all that could be desired, and tempted many older folk to dacne again almost forgotten steps. Exhibition dances were also given. The concert on Tuesday night having turned out such a success, the Rev. Jasper Calder has decided to repeat the whole programme next Saturday. A record attendance is expected.
