OUTPOINTS BUXTON BOUT IN SYDNEY By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright SYDNEY. Wcdneadav. In a contest at the Stadium, Purdy, 9st 101 b, outpointed Sid Buxton. 9st 101 b, in 15 rounds. Purdy had the better of matters from the start, and frequently had Buxton badly’ shaken with straight lefts to the head and body*. Buxton’s swings lacked* direction, and were easily evaded by’ tho New Zealander, who at the conclusion of the bout had a comfortable lead on points. Purdy never at any time looked like being beaten, and won practically every round. —A. and N.Z.
