Instead of the four-ball best-ball handicap a medal handicap will be played. Post entries will be received, players to choose partners. The first round of the eclectic match to have been played by members of the Maungakiekie Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday was postponed until June 21 and the second round has been set down for June 24. The bogey match arranged for June 14 will be postponed on account of the Auckland provincial tournament and a niatch, players to choose partners, will be held in its place. PAPAKURA LADIES' CLUB The following team will represent the Papakura Ladies’ Club against Waiuku at Papakura on Saturday:—Miss McLennan, Mrs. Elliott, Miss M. Walters, Miss Rhind, Mrs. Wood, Miss White, Mrs. Goddard, Miss Wilkins, Mrs. Busing, Mrs. Pavitt, Mrs. Foote, Miss O’Callaghan. A flag match will also be played at Papakura over 12 holes. Menzies won the C grade match with a score of 7S, 24—54. A medal match of 12 holes played on June 2 resulted in a win for Mrs. R. George with a card of 75, 23—52. AUCKLAND LADIES’ CLUB The monthly medal competition to have been played by members of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday was postponed on account of wet weather and will be played on Friday. The match for C grade players will be postponed until after the open championship meeting next week. EVERSLIE LADIES’ CLUB A medal round played by members of the Everslie Ladies’ Golf Club last Saturday resulted in a win for Mrs. Lever, Miss J. Little being second. At the ordinary meeting of the Management Committee of the Waipa Rugby Union on Monday evening the following were present: Messrs P. Quin (chairman), E. T. Crump, W. Whitton, R. Henderson, S. McNamara, W. Cavanagh, G. Reynolds, O. W. Maers, H. T. Haseklen, G. S. Clarke, W. McCarthy, W. M. Winter, and Rev. S. Burrow. Advice was received from the Morrinsville Union regretting that they were unable to meet Waipa on June 11 as suggested, and asking if a match could be arranged on Wednesday, June 15. Some discussion ensued for and against the match being played on Wednesday. On being put to a vote, it was decided to play the match on Wednesday, June 15. It was decided co write to the Waikato Union pointing out the inconsistency of the ruling allowing any union losing the Pin Jay Cup the right to issue a challenge during the same season. Reference was made regarding players betting on results of matches, and it Was decided to warn players that any cases reported to the union will be severely dealt with. NOT ACCEPTED In accordance with notice of motion to rescind the motion accepting a cup donated by Mr. I>abya, the mover said there was a good deal of feeling among th€' public and players in regard to accepting the trophy.
