A REMINDER

They having had ample time to study the handicaps framed by Mr. G. Paul, owners and trainers are reminded that acceptances for all events on the opening day, June 18, close on Friday evening at 5 o’clock with secretary C. F. Mark. Taking a line through the size of the nominationns and judging by the general satisfaction expressed with the work of the official adjuster, it is safe to predict that the response will be a most liberal one. The club has cast a very tempting bait, in the shape of attractive and valuable stake money, the handicapper has set the adjusting-rod well and truly in the light-har-ness stream and the result cannot fail to prove a good haul. So large will be the fields in at least one event, it looks as if the suggestion thrown out in THE SUN last week relative to “divisional” racing will become a necessity. In the meanwhile owners and trainers should heed this gentle “acceptance” reminder.
