After being deported from Australia to New Zealand as an undesirable immigrant, Rudolph Bidrich Borgfeldt, an American citizen, was refused permission to land there and was returned by the Ulimaroa. Once more he was compelled to remain on the ship pending arrangements being made to return him to the United States. Borgfeldt, after originally leaving America, stayed in New Zealand some time before coming to Australia. —A. and N.Z.
