LONG POLICE SEARCH

, theft of money MAN REMANDED A police search lasting over four months was rewarded yesterday evening, when Detective Nalder arrested Harley Townshend Lowe. Early in February he had been employed selling instruments, on commission, Chief-Detective Cummings explained, and had deducted £5 5s from the proceeds of a sale and converted it to his own use. The accused told the court that he had been in Hastings all the time and had written his former employer asking him to send in his account for whatever was oaring. “This is in reference to another matter that he is not charged with,” said the chief detective. Lowe was remanded until Thursday to enable further inquiries to be made about him.
