An increase of the capital of the company from £1,750,000 to £2.000,00 by the creation of 250.000 new £1 shares is recommended by the directorate. Trustees’ Executors’ Profit.—A net profit for the year of £2,909 is disclosed in the 45th annual report of the Trustees, Executors and Agency Co., Ltd., Dunedin. WELCOME.—The manager wired yesterday that a complete change had taken place in quartz in the 143 ft level The country was very hard but pronging. ALBURNIA. —The manager report* m follows:—The eastern crosscut was started and driven out from the main level a distance of 7ft. We have passed through two leaders about 2in in width; the country rock here is all that cm be desired. The western crosscut has been extended from 159 ft to 169 ft. The rock passed through is much the same as that previously reported. Stoping over the intermediate level has been continued as usual. During the week seme dead work has been done, such as t.mbering arid filling in. We had two small breakings down, and in each case seme good stone was selected. Some or the stone obtained had much coarser gcia than any we had got before. The rea is maintaining its size, a little over ism, and looks so promising that at an y„ ic specimen stone may be revealed. All general ore from this stope we are stacxing for treatment.
