FOOTBALL SOCIAL

The Huntly Soccer Club’s social on Thursday last was largely attended and patrons had a jolly time. The stage was reserved for euchre and keen competition resulted. The hall was beautifully decorated, the club’s colours, red and black, lending charm to the effects. A dainty supper was served, and club members assisted a willing and capable ladies’ committee, consisting of Mesdames Geo. Liddle, J. Bate, C. Rowron and J. Hall. Music was supplied by Mrs. F. Brook’s orchestra. Competition prizes at cards were won by Mesdames Hewitt and Landon and Messrs. Harris and W. Davis. Mr. Evan Davies and Miss Ziilah Evans w-ere the lucky winners of the spot waltz. Among the ladies present were Mesdames AVatson, Barclay, Pasley, Fairhurst. Turton, Smith. Partis, Harris, Misses Burgess, N. Smith, AVatson, Curley, Edwards and Barclay. Mr. A. Allen made an admirable M.C.
