The magistrate adjourned the cases until next court day to enable the child welfare officer, the Rev. J. x>. McFarlane, to make inquiries. The magistrate commented on the serious nature of the charges, as they involved breaking and entering, which was quite an different matter to the usual boyish pranks that sometimes caused boys to appear before the court.
