TRAIN JUMPS RAILS

ACCIDENT AT TIMARU TRAFFIC INTERRUPTED Press Association. TIMARU, To-day. When approaching the railway station this morning the engine of the South-bound express jumped the rails in the proximity of the wharf, tearing up the line and ultimately falilng over on its side. Three carriages also left the rails, but providentially no one was injured. The lines were badly torn up and traffic has been entirely interrupted It will be some time befjre the line is cleared, and it is doubtful whether all the trains will be able to run toda yto time-table.

The train was a long one and wellfilled with passengers.
