CAR SOMERSAULTS

THREE MEN INJURED Press Association GISBORNE. Friday. In Matawhero Road this afternoon, a car driven by Mr. Frank Button, with four occupants, shot across the road into a deep ditch and somersaulted. Air. Button was badly cut about the arm and head. One passenger, named Tolley, a member of the crew of the Koutunui, had severe cuts on one arm and suffered from loss of blood. Another occupant, Arthur Rush, a waterside ‘worker, suffered cuts and bruises. The injured men were admitted to the Cook Hospital. The other two passengers suffered minor injuries. An unusual thing about the accident is that just over an hour previously two motor-cars came into collision at almost the same spot. Both cars were damaged, but the occupants were not seriously hurt.
